Tamayura
is a unique combination of Kitaro's signature sound married to visuals
and features wildly colorful scenes and surreal, almost magical ethereal
dance routines. Note:Tamayura translates into moving ball, waving ball,
sphere or mirage. This video was filmed at Nigata, Japan in a Full Moon Story, on water, by Koichi Tamano and the Harupin-Ha Butoh Dance Theater who brings the characters of the story to life. You will see Kitaro perform his musical magic on many different instruments, including the flute, sitar, wave beam, the mighty Taiko (Japanese ceremonial drum), all blended with Kitaro's favorite instrument, his analog synthesizer. The message being relayed here could be compared to the the famous stories performed at Kabuki Theatre in downtown Tokyo for the past several hundred years. A must buy for a spirited Kitaro fan or follower. Released in 2001. |
