The Light of The Spirit expresses Kitaro's vision of life, death and rebirth, and continues his musical exploration of life cycles. Originally released in 1987 and digitally remastered in 1996.

Kitaro's 1987 World Tour Concert was accompanied by a beautiful 18-page brochure titled "An Evening with Kitaro". This tour book was printed on premium paper depicting scenes from nature with quotes from the I-Ching and some personal notes on Kitaro

Kitaro presents the forward with, "This is the place where my spiritual journey started. Therefore this must be the place where deep inside my spirit has been rooted" (Summer, 1987 at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Japan
